CRYSTAL WHITE
UNICORNS, STRIPPING, AND THE BRIDE WHO NEVER SHOWED UP
Crystal White has a collection of unicorns, a background in psychology, and two stories about weddings that never happened. She practices competitive shooting, speaks three languages, and answers the kind of questions that make other people straighten their dresses. She came to her RDX casting from Dubai after more than six months away from filming. At 24, she already has enough material for a memoir. Some chapters might be best kept away from the relatives.
IT STARTED WITH A FLYING BRA
Before porn, Crystal danced at a strip club to pay for school. One night, she was hired to perform at a swingers’ party. She threw her bra into the crowd, and the man who brought it back turned out to be a porn actor. They got talking. Crystal asked how someone gets into the industry. She wanted to try it as an experiment. By the time of this interview, that experiment had lasted three years.
She cringes when she watches her early videos: the posture, the poses, even the way she held her head. She stayed because she liked the people she worked with. These days, Crystal pays attention to how a scene looks on camera. Sometimes, though, she gets so caught up in it that she forgets to think about the camera at all.
FANTASIES ON A BIG SCALE
Crystal enjoys BDSM scenes and discovering what turns her on. She has filmed with six men, and she once attended a swingers’ party with around 30 people. She says she wanted the experience of being part of a crowd that size and finally acting on a fantasy.
In her everyday life, feelings matter to her. Filming a scene with a colleague doesn’t mean she’ll want to kiss him once the cameras stop. But when she likes a man, she has no trouble making the first move. In Dubai, she approached a guy she found attractive after a night out. A week later, they went on a date at a water park. She describes what they have as friends with benefits. He knows what she does, but he doesn’t like watching her videos and turned down the idea of filming with her.
A BRIDE WITH OTHER PLANS
One earlier romance began in Bali with a man telling her, “I’m your fan.” The chemistry never followed. They had sex only a few times over four months, and when he started talking about proposing, Crystal soon flew back to Russia.
Later that same year, she missed the date set for another wedding. Instead of going to the registry office, she celebrated a friend’s birthday. For someone who studied family relationships, she has a remarkable collection of stories about them. Crystal learned the theory. She wasn’t in a hurry to put it into practice.
THREE LANGUAGES, NOT A WORD TO SAY
Among Crystal’s tattoos are unicorns and a phrase that plays on the difference between “remember death” and “remember love.” Her most recognizable tattoo came with a surprise: by her second appointment, she’d forgotten the design was supposed to be in color. People now recognize her by it.
At her RDX casting, the conversation keeps going after the sex begins. Then Crystal admits, “I’ve forgotten the words. I can’t understand Russian anymore.” From a woman who speaks three languages, that says plenty about how the encounter went.
